Panasonic DMC-GF1, Micro Four Thirds Camera

[ 0 ] 2010/03/03 | Simon Harris

I recently purchased the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1, it’s a very compact and well made small camera with DSLR quality, interchangeable lenses but without the bulky SLR optical viewfinder mirror system, the result is a very neat camera with picture quality that rivals an expensive DSLR and is easy to carry around and unobtrusive. I bought the kit with the 14-45mm lens which is quite wide angle and 3X optical zoom, a very good all rounder with optical stabilization and autofocus (you can manual focus as well) and then I also got the 20mm flat pancake (flat) lens which is extremely high quality and fast allowing for narrow depth of field (blurry backgrounds when taking a portrait or close up). I will be reporting more on this great camera as well as uploading lots of of photos and 720p HD videos, this is going to be my main workhorse camera for the site.
