Groundbreaking Micro 4/3 Camcorder from Panasonic

[ 0 ] 2010/04/12 | Simon Harris

Micro Four Thirds is getting bigger! Hot on the news that the GF1 is in the top five of best selling DSLR’s in Japan, Panasonic have just announced the first HD camcorder that uses M43 (Micro Four Third) interchangeable lenses. This is very interesting because it makes it the first small format HD camcorder that has interchangeable lenses so will be very interesting for news gathering and the TV industry who commonly use HDV cameras with fixed lenses. The M43 format is set to get bigger, Panasonic have a new G2 camera on the way and the GF1 really is awesome, I recently bought the 45-200mm (400mm equivalent) lens for mine and am awaiting delivery of a fisheye lens as well, all very exciting!
